here&now is an artist collective exhibition, envisioned by Valletta Contemporary to showcase and promote Maltese emerging artists who are pushing the contemporary art discourse in Malta in new directions.
A place and time, the common denominator of the absolute present: Malta and the socio-political and cultural landscape. All nine artist share an origin in common; what does it say about their art and what can we glean of the Maltese milieu through them?
With contemporary art slowly rearing its head, Valletta Contemporary takes the opportunity to enter the dialogue of Maltese contemporaneity, itself a promising, up-and-coming institution.
